I ended up getting this last night. Played with it today and put out my first video today. Its definitely got some power behind it, I'll have to play with it some more. I picked up the "professional" edition cuz I gots me some gift cards for my B-Day, so I went to the highest version...

Nice program and comes with the audio editing stuff.

I use several programs to make my videos and dvd's. Just depends on what I want to do. Some programs are just easier to do some things with. Muvee is great for picture type things, WMM is what I do a bunch of my capture work with because it's super simple to do it with.

All my final video work is done with either Vegas or Premiere.

I agree with CC. pinnacle is a Good editing software program. I have a 5 year old Computer that it still works on. It supports 5.1 Surround and Has Audio Editing on it as well. I have Version 10. Which is alittle Older. I've been doing our camp (Michindoh Ministries) video for the past two year and except for the freezes, it's been great. Oh and it also has DVD Authoring on it. You can create you're own DVD menu and all that. It works.

I went to this forum http://www.avsforum.com/ and learned alot of stuff about this.

Some guys like Vegas, some Pinnacle, we looked at Vegas tonight but have a hard time spending $129 on it.

All I know is that the software that came with our JVC Everio is JUNK! Cyberlink in case you were wondering.

The Vegas stuff I looked at had 3 levels: $50-$125 at Best Buy. I got the $125 cuz I had stupid gift cert. for only Best Buy and nothing else.
