Default Progress Pics for Project SBCYJ

For those who care :tonka:

Just a general shot....Yes i know its dirty in there, after the first couple runs and everything is going good, its all coming back out for a frame strip and repaint, and major body work.

The electric fan setup i ended up going with. Cant beat it for free.

Custom MSD mounting plate, just welded it onto the spreader bar. Wanted the ignition box as high and as far back as i could get it.

Custom throttle linkage i made, thought it came out ok. Good shot of rigged up coolant sending unit too.

Yea i considered that too, but just could not find a good place for it really. I dont anticipate taking it through much water, to the point where it would be a problem, so hopefully i made a good choice putting it in the engine bay, we'll see

Looks good, what kind of radiator and fan are you using? Trans? Axles? Tell us more about it!

Its got a straight 6 aftermarket rad. Got that from biobill for a good price, and it fits the stock mounting holes. Using a chrysler car electric fan setup, not exactly sure what car its from though. A friend of mine GAVE them to me. They are brand new. D44 Scout's front and rear. SM465 tranny and NP205 T-case.

Motor:

350 CID Chevy Small Block

.040 over
Hypereutectic (sp) pistons
Aftermarket rods
Eagle cast steel crank
ARP main bolts
Mildon Med. profile cam
Hydro lifters
305 Chevy heads ported to a 1.94 intake valve (upped the compression to around 11:1)
MSD Hei ignition w/ blaster 2 coil and modded dust cap.
Edlebrock performer intake
Holley 750 cfm electric choke carb
Mallory fuel regulator with bypass system for using stock electric pump.
other misc. bling proform stuff that u see. (not really big on chrome)

How many CFM on that fan? I am now running a SBC, mildly built, in my CJ7 with aluminum radiator and Black Magic Fan http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...tegoryId=13393 And it still can get somewhat hot on summer days.

Looks good. Sell the carb and put on FI...you won't regret it. I had a Holly 750 on mine and it sucked on the trails.
