I've never seen it, but it seems like one of those funny pics that usually get posted here.

I know a CJ-5 tub fit just fine in my 2000 ram longbed. Along with a bunch of other parts. It was sitting right side up, not on its side...

Cut down some 2x4's There should be cutouts in the bed. That will put the tub higher than the wheel wells.

I put my yj tub in a short bed ram backwards so the rear wheel openings of the tub go over the wheel wells of the truck. It fit perfectly between the bed rails. I put racket straps to hold it down and to keep it from sliding out. I got it in Indiana and brought it back to Allegan without any problems.

x2 This will work, Adam. 84Scrambler picked up a Scrambler tub from me, and we loaded it into the back of his Dodge full-size. If you use your dad's Ford, I'm guessing it should fit fine.

I've seen this on the xway before in full size truck beds. I agree with the 2x4 idea, this should work fine for you.

Yes.

As long as you are transporting the tub with a full-size pickup, positioning the tub's wheelwell openings over the pickup's fenders is all you have to do. The tub will sit flat.

Yep, I had 2x4's set in to keep it above the wheel wells and it fit like a glove. I could even close the tailgate.
