Too bad they didn't carry snowshoes.

I'm so intrigued with that trail. We've gone over the Sierra's to Reno from San Jose in the winter by train and I'm glued to the window the entire time. The amount of snow is insane and my fiancé tells me they call it Sierra cement. Very heavy water content and not at all like we're used to around here.

That being said...bring it on. I really want to go!!!

heh, im originally from northern california and it is not uncommon to have 40-80 feet of snow in one season. Hell when i was at my parents this last winter break we got 8 feet of snow in 2 days.

So....I need to Go live around there. I love Snow. Not to mention I'd have an Excuse to have a Sweet Off road Rig. Now I just have an Explorer with Great Aspirations for the future. Up there it would a Necessity.

I kinda want to find out how they will get thier rigs out.

Yeah, you learn to carry tire chains, MREs, camp stove, water, snow shoes and various sundries.
Always an adventure up there!!!

Now that is some snow!!

That is a wild adventure. Sounds like a good time except for the getting wet in the cold thing, and the abandoning your rig thing, and the wondering if you will make it off this crazy mountain thing!!! At least they had some on hand!
