Default 1990 F-150

So my dad bought a 1990 F-150 4x4 and put a plow on it...

And now he needs to beef up the front end... Will the springs from a F-250?

And yes its the awesome Wishbone suspension

I think the F150 springs are coils... F250 are leafs. I have seen airbags that fit inside the coils though... might want to try that.

1990 had an optional snow plow package with quad shocks.
You can just go down to a spring shop an have them build a set for the snow plow package.

This is my 92, but it has the same front suspension.

Check on 2WD Ford F250's they had coils sprung fronts. IIRC they were also just like the F-150's when it came to converting to 4WD => Bolt on.

Jack the front end off the ground and fill the coil springs with tennis balls. it will help and be cheap.

Yup, F-250 2wd are coil springs and are noticeably thicker IIRC

Dang, that's a good idea. I need a couple more inches of air-bag, I'm going to add a couple tennis balls for the plow.

Air bags work great on my truck when i ran them, and then the truck road fine without the plow unlike a set of f250 coils are going to do. There is another option but i can't remember the name of the product, I have seen it often on plowsite.
