Default time to boycott citibank..

REFUSES TO PROCESS TRANSACTIONS . . . Citi Merchant Services and First Data Corp. are refusing to process any credit card transactions between federally licensed firearms retailers, distributors and manufacturers -- a move which will severely limit available inventory of firearms and ammunition to military, law enforcement and law-abiding Americans.

The first company to be affected by this decision appears to be firearms distributor CDNN Sports Inc.

"We were contacted recently by First Data/Citi Merchant Services by a June Rivera-Mantilla stating that we were terminated and funds were being seized for selling firearms in a non-face-to-face transaction," said Charlie Crawford, president of CDNN Sports Inc. "Although perfectly legal, we were also informed that no transactions would be processed in the future, even for non-firearms. I find this very frightening."

To voice your concern to Citi Merchant Services and First Data Corp., please contact June Rivera-Mantilla at 631-683-7734 or her supervisor Robert Tenenbaum at 631-683-6570.

To change to an NSSF-affiliated credit card processing program, contact Payment Alliance International at 1-866-371-2273 (ext. 1131).

Fuck. I use citibank exclusively because Chase are friggin crooks.

I would never use my CC this way, but fukc , I need a way to stop giving them my support. I can cancel my credit card, but ABN-AMRO sold my mortgage to citibank too.

Citi is hardkore in a bad way. I dont use their CC anymore, but it is because of their policies and fees that I stopped, but stuff like this presses the matter further.

Anyone verifiy this info with one of those websites?

That's Rediculous. I understand thier point, but wouldn't siezing the money from that one company be Illegal? It's not the banks money, It's the company's. My friend was working for Citi bank and hated it. He was a Customer service rep. The reason he quit was because his boss told him that he needed to Sell more Credit cars/Credit. He said that most people he talks with would end up in a worst situation then when they started with Credit. So, He wouldn't put them in that postion and his boss told him "you need to learn to not care" Because we all know that banks are just buisnesss there to get your money. Me, I'm gonna hide mine is a cave

Default Citi

are they "banning" ALL gun transactions or just "non-face-to-face" transactions?

Yes, because environmentalists care about the huge impact online gun sales have on the environment :miff:

They are banning all transactions where guns are shipped to an FFL. Which is the only legal way to buy a weapon not in person.

They aren't really doing a great job at caring though, and some non FFL dealers are getting kick out too.

"Tree huggers" aren't just phycotic about nature, they also carry the same type of views on gun control, abortion, ect. I use the name for more than just nature freaks.

I totally disagree. :miff:
Guns are inanimate objects possessing neither good nor evil in them.
They can be used for good or evil, depending on who's hands they're in.

snopes.com has nothing about it, but it appears to be legit.

Default it's not just guns!

jeeps, cars, buses, trucks, etc. kill over 40,000 people a year in the u.s. alone. should all motor powered transportation be banned also?

I thought you were smarter than that.
