Why? Same tread as standard Swampers, other than the sidwalls (and SXs don't have the tread depth) and on average are only about 5 lbs or so heavier than standard Swampers..

A 38 or 38.5 SX should be right around a true 37"... mine are, anyway..

They should eventually be grooved, though. It makes a big difference in getting the otherwise stiff SX to flex around rocks, more edges for better grip, especially in snow.... shaves back most of the extra weight, as well (depends how much you cut...) Improves surface pressure on hard pack, also.

Groove them, and then run without the valve cores in for a bit to break the sidewalls in. They improve on rocks noticeably once they are broken in.

I ended up with 38x12.5x15 which interco claims should be 37.4" tall on a 10" wide rim and alittle taller on a 8" wide rim.

Not sure why these tires will kill my axles, because I know of some stock rubicon axles that haven't broken running these, and I don't think any tire will ever break my rear axle.

You have to remember, I don't drive like an idiot, and I'm not into full throttle.

I'm also told that the SX's will be the same weight to the ounce as my boggers I've been running for a year.

I love SX's. And all this exact tire measurement talk is a little gay.

Just put them on and fricken wheel.

The wide sizes aren't really heavier. A 38.5" swamper is the same weight as a 38.5" SX. Same with the 35s. But the 36" is about 14 lbs lighter than a 36" sx.

And CC's right, a 38" SX is the same weight as a 37" bogger.

I think I'm probably 125 lbs per corner with my heavy steel beadlocks...

I have a brand new set of 36x13.50x15 on a set of 15x10's and off the vehicle with 0 psi they measure 36.5" tall. The web site says they are 36.8 on a 15 x 10 which is actually 1/4" taller than the 37x14x15 on a 15 x 11 .

I was just informed I'm being sent a check for my full purchase price. This took a long time to fight, but I finally won. I did lose out the money on mounting/dismounting them, but they paid the freight back.

Once I have the check in my hands, I will post a very useful guide to interco's back office, and who to talk to to get shit done.

I worked with 11 different people from interco to specility tires of america, and they tied of $1100 of mine because they engage in pure false advertising.

Interco farms out their tires. They do not make a single tire.

"Speciality tires of america" Makes the Irok and the Bogger. I was offered a larger size bogger or irok, from STOA, NOT interco, neither of which I wanted.

As soon as I realized I couldn't exchange the tires for a size that I wanted (the size that interco advertises), I purchased a set of 38.5/14.50-15LT SX's. I called interco and spoke with the VP to insure that they measure above 37". He informed me that they measure 38.2".

They really measure 37.5". I thought about sending them back again, but its not worth it over 3/4" of an inch.

Interco people are evil evil lying, scam artists who false advertise to sell tires.

The folk I dealt with at STOA is the reason I could exhange them. They are buying them back from me.

Interco Tire Company = False advertising, Scam, Liars, theives.
Specility Tires Of America = Good People

So Interco has two sales, and I'm still out a thousand bucks (and have been for two months) as I await my reimbursement due to interco's false advertising.

There is nary a tire out there that has or ever will measure its advertised height, sidewall height or any other height, it's always been this way. Go back to your sandbox with your toys all alone.

The molds that your SX's come from are probably neither of those measurements.

Do you see "O.D."??? That is their advertised size. If they are smaller then that, then it is false advertising.

I don't care if the mold is 13' in diameter, if the tires match the advertised outside diameter, then I'm happy.

x2

My buddy had a set of 40x17" Ground Hawgs that barely measured 37".
My old 31" ProComp M/T's weren't even 30". My 36" Iroks measure about 36.5".....I could go on all day.

This is standard practice when it comes to any tire.

Go measure any tire, take tires of different brands, all sizes, they wont be exactly the same.

Further I am sure with tires such as interco's that each batch ends up slightly different. The advertised size is probably the average of the bunch.

How many swampers have you had to send back becuase they were not round? 2 for me.

It happens, do more research before you buy the tires to understand what you are getting, realize they don't all measure up exact and deal with life.
