One is the ownership of people as property while the other is medically terminating a pregnancy.

One is illegal in the U.S. (and pretty much everywhere else) and the other is not.

are you sure? that looks like some chicken, a few olives and some rasberry vinagerrette dressing....

Oh, and Dave, one is where you own a person to work for you, the other is where an unborn baby is killed. You're a smart guy, I figured you would know that by now.

one is a grievous evil, the other is not?
one was acceptible, and later was not. The other is still in the acceptible stage.

that is about all I have learned so far.

I could see the similarities, as Slavery was more objectifying humans as property , and the argue for Abortion is sometimes said that they aren't human at all yet, and just a pile of goo that has a Heart beat. It's in the womans body so that gives her the "ownership" of it and then giving her the option of abortion. Maybe?

I agree that both aren't acceptable, But also some will argue that Abortion is an option if the baby most likely will not survive the birth and the mother will not if the baby is not aborted. I think that is too much of a personal decision to say a straight yes or no.

I agree with the posts above but the one thing I dont agree with is someone telling me what to do with my body. What if the woman you love was raped and a pregnancy was the result. Could you say then that it was wrong? I do agree that it should not be an easy out if you were just being stupid and didn't use protection, but I do think that it is a womans right to make that decision for herself...

There's laws against murder and that is telling you what to do with your body. There are seatbelt laws and they tell you what to do with your body.

There is a big difference between making laws for everyone to follow or telling a woman she has to keep a baby that came as a result of rape....

What's the "worse evil"?:

[1] An unwanted child aborted
[2] An unwanted child born and ignored and/or abused

edited that for ya.

There are plenty of places you can take an unwanted baby, it doesn't to be killed or put in a scum environment.

But its just not an "unwanted" child. If you have ever known any one that was raped and got pregnant because of if, you might understand where I'm coming from...

My point is how many more sociopaths would be walking the country if their "mothers" were forced to have them?

While there are alternatives, scumbags won't use them, they'll have the unwanted kid and then fail to raise it, producing another criminal.
