I'm also michigan state certified in engine repair, tune up/performace, manual transmission/drive axles, front end steering and suspension, and brakes.

Price list as of now
Transmission removal and installation $100 for clutches, torque converters or rear main seal repair
Engine removal and installation $200
Engine overhaul $300 complete teardown and rebuilding. you pay machining costs I.E crank grinding, boring, hot tank etc..
Front or Rear axle overhaul $75 includes pressing new bearings.
Brakes $15 per axle you pay to have rotors or drums machined
Front end steering or suspension repair $25 per ball joint, $15 per tie rod, $10 for linkages,
Springs remove and replace(stock or lift) $60 per axle.
These are Per job prices not per hour. so your saving big bucks by not paying $90 per hour labor which is going rate. your saving money and i'm making money= were both happy. Y spend 400 for a new clutch to be put in when i'll do it for 100. No hackjobs performed here only quality work, i'm not done until the job is!

Damn!!! that is dirt cheap.

the idea is to offer cheap work to attract customers. i'd rather make up for low rates by having high volume. please recommend customers to me no job to big or little if it's something i don't have listed doesn't mean i don't do it.

*Update*
This guy does great work. I dropped off my jeep to get the flexplate changed out and while he was in there, he noticed that the front of my torque convertor was busted! Ended up getting a new convertor the next day and have everything done that night. The jeep ran and drove great. I would definitely recommend him and will definitely take more work to him in the future.

Red face Man I knew if I read long enough......

Kodiak450r--Here's my situation. I bought my kid a 98 wrangler tj with the 2.5 4 cylinder engine and an automatic trans. It has about 108,000 miles on it and now the engine sounds like it has a box of marbles in the lower end. I know the engine needs to be majorly gone over ( and maybe needs to be replaced) The block doesnt leak anything but it does burn about a quart+of oil a week. I am tired of hearing that i have a "sissy, underpowered, baby 4 banger" and I do not want to change it to a 765 h.p. mega rock crawling, wall climbing, all things dirt, monster jeep. I simply want a reliable vehicle that my kid can have some fun with and be able to rely on it starting and running properly.

Now the question: Your prices for engine overhaul seem too good to be true.
Can you give me an estimate as to what it may cost to rebuild the current engine? Install a new Long Block? I have a reasonable budget to work with.I live in Madison Heights and could drive it over for you to look at and hear it run. And I am not in such a hurry as to need it right away. Take your time if you do the work--i won't need it overnite.

Thanks for hearing me out. I look forward to hearing from you.And I would love to be raving about your services in the future.

Thanks, winters98tj
