Default tubing prices

i am building a new jeep project, and i am going to build a custom cage. I need to know what the average price for 1.75x.120 dom, and the same size hrew tubing is. Also does anyone know any good places to get it from around the kalamazoo, portage area. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Alro is your best bet on small quantities.

ok, i am looking to purchase around 100 feet of tubing. What is the general amount that you have to purchase before you get a price break?

im not sure about recently but it was about 1.50-2.00 (for 1.75x.120) more for DOM than HREW last time I got tube.... Dont be cheap for cage material, use DOM unless you really cant swing the cost. It will hold up better.

At our shop we order a bunch of tubing and squares and wire etc... I find that Alro, who only carries DOM is higher than most, but its typically next day ship. I use E.M. Jorgensen for all our ERW tubing and some new guy (can't remember their name) from Chicago we use for large quantities of DOM once in a while. Source1 we use cuz their local and we sometimes do work for them for almost all our smaller alum. orders. Metal Express gets a call when its under 10' long and very small orders, they are very expensive but a lifesaver when you need a small piece of something really quick.

Nearly all of the big names ship free over a certain weight, at least to us. They just tack on the fuel surcharges etc.... :miff:
