Default Huckabee...

I'm down in Arkansas over the holidays and have been learning a few things about MIke Huckabee that is disconcerting.

1. Extreme southern baptist
2. Having churches contact their members to vote for him.
3. Used taxpayers money to destroy and replace all computer harddrives after he left office.
4. After he left office, he bought a new house and registered at local stores (target, dillard's, etc) so people would buy him gifts to furnish his home.

That's too bad, because I really enjoyed his chuck norris commercials.

1. I think everyone from there is.
2. Doesn't concern me.
3. Slightly concerns me.
4. Really retarded... should probably look more into this.

The one thing that I do like about him is that he supports the fair tax bill.

One thing we do know, the evangelicals will get roped in by a single issue(abortion) no matter how incompetent the candidate has shown himself in adult life, even vote for the Chimp again.

Proverbs 6:16-17

16. These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,...

Deuteronomy 27:25

25. Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person...

I'm pretty sure that's solid basis for a Christian not voting for someone who believes in legal abortion.

He seems to be nothing more than a repub. version of Clinton.

The more I read about him, the more he seems to be a crooked bastard?

X2.

The Clintons did the gift thing when they left the White House as well - must be an Arkansas thing...

http://www.humanevents.com/article.p...4148#continueA

A few key excerpts:

Quote:
Huckabee opposes school choice, earning him the coveted endorsement of the National Education Association of New Hampshire, which is like the sheriff being endorsed by the local whorehouse.

He is, however, in favor of school choice for kids in Mexico: They have the choice of going to school there or here. Huckabee promoted giving in-state tuition in Arkansas to illegal immigrants from Mexico -- but not to U.S. citizens from Ohio. "I don't believe you punish the children," he said, "for the crime and sins of the parents."

In a widely quoted remark, Huckabee denounced a Republican bill that would merely require proof of citizenship to vote and receive government benefits as "un-Christian, un-American, irresponsible and anti-life," according to the Arkansas News Bureau. Now, where have I heard this sort of thing before? Hmmm ... wait, now I remember: It was during the Democratic debates!

He supports a nationwide smoking ban anyplace where people work, constitutional protection for sodomy, big government, higher taxes and government benefits for illegal aliens. According to my calculations, that puts him about three earmarks away from being Nancy Pelosi.

after driving through that state, and seeing how dilapidated a lot of the towns/even Mr. Clinton's hometown were, i really was curious how he was garnering all the support he had...and after reading #4, makes me step back a little more with him
