Default '86 F-150 stuff

got an '86 f-150 lariat, was my grandpa's, but my grandma said i could have anything i wanted off it. thinking about taking the 302 out (40k approx) and swapping it into my B2. first off what T-case and trans did the '86s come stock with and would i have to swap those into my B2 along with the 302?
thanks

My 85 lariat has the NP208 tcase behind it. For the NP the tag is on the back of the case, and round.

You would have to swap the tranny for sure, or another Ford SB housing tranny into your B2 if using that motor since the BP is different. I'm not sure what t-cases besides the 1/2ton - one ton adapters are the same.

I think the ID tags might be rusted off, is there any other way to tell what each one is?

You will have to dump the t-case anyway. They won't fit inside the frame rails on a b2. However a np205 will and if you have the 3-speed it would prettymuch bolt up. I think it might even bolt up to the 4 speed but i am not completely sure.

Where is the truck? I'm headed north this weekend and if it's near where I'm going or on the way I'm sure I could stop and look. I've had enough of these trucks to know.

By the way there's a NP208 in my B2 in the avatar.
It had a 302, c6, NP208, D44 ttb, and a 8.8.
