remember mike before using the winch you need to unspool it and spool it back up under weight

exactly, and when you spool it out, when you get near the end (atleast on mine) the cable will be painted red. Stop at where its painted and leave that spooled. Or when theirs like 10 loops on the drum left. And when your doing recovery with the winch never unspool it past this point and pull. The more cable on the drum, the more wwight or strentgh of the cable you have.

True that you should have at least 4 wraps before you pull any weight.
This is so you don't pull the wire rope out of the set screw.
More wraps does not make anything stronger. In fact every time the line overlaps the winch becomes faster and will pull less weight. Because the drum essentialy becomes larger with more line on it.

BTW bumper looks sweet.

what i meant was the more wraps the stronger the anchor is. Having trouble wording the way it sounds in my head lol.

if you have 4 wraps on the drum vs 15 wraps on the drum. The 15 wraps is stronger. Doesn't change the strength of given components but the weight it can handle. I think thats what i am trying to say. Its been a long day
