wow, you made post without calling someone a faggot
ok, because "god" "Jesus" and the bible are so much more believable than the theory that aliens created or placed life on earth

I am begin to think that if the school s want god out and the government wants god out, we should not pay them for the time off. I guess if you believe and all you will find a way to show it with or without the time off. It truly pisses me off to know I pay schools and government people, who want nothing to do with god,(and do a crappie job:this is not about the teachers) for the privilege of enjoying Christmas .

Think of it as a mutual understanding on a mass vacation taking schedule. Take Chinese New Year for instance or the month of August in Germany. There are business reasons why you shut down offices to "observe" a holiday because the bulk of your employees are going to take it off anyway. The 1 week Americans get on average for Xmas/New Years is small and almost insignificant compared to the shut down periods other businesses take for other holidays and periods.

no lights, no tree.. college student + don't care

gifts at home, don't really care about it, I consider it over materialized. I did get some skis this year, I paid half, and they are about the only kind of gift I like, something that will get me out to enjoy nature or being active.

church maybe, I don't really care to go, I consider myself christian, but don't really follow the lines of church.

JDRL, I like this thread. Good job. I agree with you that it seems that Secular people do seem to be able to what they want and Christians Get told to shut up about Jesus all the time. But.....It's expected and we should rejoice in it.

Would I like People like the "Almighty Sova" to respect our faith? Yeah, I think it's what this nation was founded on. NOT THE FAITH! THE RESPECT OF IT. If you argue with that.....Your full of crap. I, as a Christian, Have every right to practice my Faith. An atheist has the right to practice his.

For the most part in my Experience (College Student) It's not the Christian that is closed minded It's the other people. The second you start talking they start to disrespect you because of your believes and call them stupid and mock your Savior right in front of you. If I had the opportunity and legal ability too, I'd probably beat the crap out of them right there and then. Unfortunately, most hide behind that very fact. If they got a beat down every time they were disrespectful, most of them wouldn't be alive.

It takes a Man to respect someone's Faith and debate about it. Making fun of it is about the 5th grade level. I met some Muslim teenagers this summer and can say they are probably more mature in this area then most grown men on this board. They respect us and we respect them. We just know we're right.
