Hell, I'll even drive over and give ya both a hand removing them. Jeep used that particular heater assembly from 72-77. The cowl vent is different on the 78-86 models. The blower fan is inside the tub on the 72-77 models, while it sticks through the firewall on the 78-86 versions.

The heater box is missing on my'74.......there IS one on the 'glass tub,but the motor sticks out thru the fire wall.The tub appears to be pre-'76 style(flat floors)but is was preiviously installed on a later chassis,&had the later style dash,seat brackets,&a firebird tilt column on it.I'm gonna put the early style dash&column in it&keep that heater.

started the tare down a lil got the role bar out and then did the dash kinda

Finally made some progress. Got the body and fenders off just a lil more and then frame prep comes. Th frame is in supper nice shape the mounts are great. Only thing is the rear frame is porley rewelded and need some work bad.

Actually did a lil more work on this the past weekend. Got them nasty blocks welded on the frame off (see above pics 2 see blocks). It was a bitch decent welds held me back. started sandin down the frame got it about half done and primered it up. Got the front clip on 2 see how it fits 2 not bad.

Looks like a start to a fun project. One question did the Previous owner really put the driver side rear axle U bolts on top of the Brake Line??????? Might want to fix that...lol

Not 2 much but the frame is painted and the body and front clip was set on 2 see how it fit. It fits great and looks half way decent 2.
