This is my first rig for strictly trail ridin me and my pops will be doing most of the work on it not very nice needs alot of work but hey not bad for $500 its allready lifted about 4in on 35 gumbo muders also what rear end is this idk yet

Nice buy for $500. That's a Dana 44 rear axle, which is a good feature; Dana 44s were stock in '72-'75 CJs.

found a fiberglass tub and front clip from a 78 for $500 geting it this weekend but haveing no place 2 work on it work wont start till snows over fallin also found a pair of fiberglass bucket seats with 5 points just like new where in a circle track car $200 now all i need are some better tires and a fuel cell then fire it up and make sure its runing great pics of the tub this weekend

If you are planning on running the 258 (4.2L) that is in it currently, you may want to look into replacing the single barrel carb with a motorcraft 2100 or a weber. I have a motorcraft 2100 on my YJ and works great.

got the tub and also got a swingout tire carrer will get pics soon when the weather calms down also got 2 order a new body mounting kit prolly a 2in body lift and then 2 come a brand new 4in lift from havent decided yet anyone got one for a CJ5 that they liked and also should i do i spring over on this rig

also started tearing stuff of my tub like the roll bar and the brackets and all the other lil stuff wont get very much progress till spring

I'm doing a'74 myself,also paid $500 for it,picked up the glass front clip today,got the tub 3 weeks ago($100 on ebay from PA)going milder with mine.Looks like you have a newer dash&steering coulmn in it,and a newer motor with the 2 barrel carter.Mine also has a newer 258,I put a HEI dizzy from a Chevy 6 in it.I'm gonna go with the MC 2100 also.Guess I should post up pics! Good luck&have fun with the build!

Ahhhhh....The 'Classic' $500 CJ....

If you're gonna take it apart and install a 'glass body....If ya don't need the heater assembly (and it isn't all broken to hell), I'll take it off your hands.....
