i wont vote because you did not give me a proper choice, like usual your polls are created to be black and white your way or the highway.

Good question,.............but not my intent.
What I wanted to come across is that I put out my hand for an apology, and was hoping for a return, but apparently your hatred of my beliefs is to much for you to see that.
I guess we will just continue to argue, which is not what I had hoped for.

Steveo, I just have a real hard time understanding why you take so much pride in tearing down Christians. Most the Christians I know, go out of their way to help their fellow man. Apparently I have failed today with you. So, I guess you have another reason to hate Christians, because of me.

It is all just sad.
I will apologize to all for showing a bad side of me, but I will not apologize for being a Christian.

I accept your apology and in return offer one of my own. I dont hate you or christians. I dont have any hard feelings, and the only thing you said that bothered me was when you threatened me.

The funny thing is that I don't see steveo as an instrument of evil.

Blessed is the one who stands up and defends his beliefs of Christ in the face of opposition; therefore, I see this as a perfectly staged scenario for Christ to see how you would react to someone who is testing your faith.

I bet that He would be glad to see you defending what you believe...I don't know if Jesus would be a fan of the name calling however...

I read a book by Chuck Colson in which he brought up a very good point about the disciples. If you remember, Chuck was a co-conspirator in the Watergate scandal under President Nixon. Mr. Colson said that that the story leaked and one by one the people involved in the crime cracked and spilled their guts. I imagine that the first few to tell were able to turn states evidence and save their own skin. Chuck pointed out that every one of Christ's disciples died a horrible death (but for John, he was exilled on the Island of Patmos) at the hands of their persecutors claiming that Jesus had risen from the dead. If this were false all they had to do was say so and live. Who would die for a lie? Not one of them cracked and they sealed their testimony with their deaths. Tradition says that Peter was crucified upside down. Some were beheaded by the sword. Some were "stoned".

lbfin88, I agree with you, but no one wants to know if the disciples were credible, because they know they will find them to be and have to hear their eye witness accounts. Then it puts them into a faith crisis, so the easy way out is to never investigate and leave the blinders on.

Prayer is not a "get service phone line". It's purpose is not for you to ask for "stuff". Jesus tells us that we should say at least this one prayer each day:

from Matthew 6:9-13 and Luke 11:1-4.

And it came to pass, that, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, one of His disciples said unto Him, Lord, teach us to pray....
And He said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us day by day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever. Amen.
