Default 1991 Suzuki Samurai

SOLD

1991 Samurai, was a florida/georgia vehicle in its early years. The body is very solid, there are areas of paint bubbling and a couple very small holes in the rockers.

1.3L was fuel injected but the previous owner tried to make it a hot rod by adding a weber carb and a header i guess. The carb has no choke and it stalls on real steep inclines otherwise works fine.

Tcase is a Petroworks 4:1 with hi and lo ranges in 2 and 4wd, works great.

Axles are stock, rear has a lock-rite and the front is welded. It needs a locking hub. Brakes work fine but it has been sitting for about 2 years.

It used to have death fang shackles, I did a SOA using the stock springs. It has a Z link drag link.

Tires should be used off road only, the tread is worn in the middle more than the edges but still has quite a bit left. The problem is the sidewalls on a couple have some gashes and they all VERY slowly leak air. I ran the tires like this since I owned it and they work just fine for off road use.

It has a good STC soft top on it, but some of the snaps broke about 2 days after I got it and the side windows rubbed on the frame so its not perfect. Its the safari type that rolls up on the side.

It has a tach mounted in the cluster and a small CB where the radio should be.

It has a fuel cell that works fine, but has seen better days.

It would make a great start to a project (which it started that way for me too) or you could technically take this to the mounds as it sits. It worked so well in this stockish form that I never really got around to doing all the stuff I had planned, and now I totally lost interest. Its been sitting in the grass for 2 years and will rot away if I dont sell it now.

I would consider the vehicle off road use only. The only time I used it on road was to drive 10 minutes to the mounds or from downtown west branch to the trail head which was sometimes less than 10 minutes. I have about an acre of field you can do whatever you want to with it, but no test drives on the road unless your driving it home. If your looking for something to drive back and forth to work its probably not the best choice.

$2000 or best.

Vehicle can be seen on Richfield Rd about 1/2 mile east of Belsay in Flint.

Vehicle is built and was used for off road only. No idea on gas mileage or vehicle mileage, speedometer wasn't working when I purchased it and I never cared to fix it. Issues related to how it works off road are listed, nothing that I know of other than that.

It needs a seat belt on the passenger side, I did forget that.
