Default is a 93 360 the same as a 99?

i found a 93 with low miles hole truck. and i have a 99 with a 318 with a bad motor. would i be able to swap that in and just use the 360 comp out of the other truck?

the engine would interchange but the comp wont. the intake and exhaust manifolds are different because of the EGR on the 93. also I believe the 93 had a different cam that made a little more power than any other year mag 360. you could probably get a 360 comp for a 99 and be ok. how is the rest of the truck I might be interested in some parts off it.

your manifolds will work on a 93 but 92 was still the old engine and then you couldn't use it. The 93's intake will look just like your 99, the egr stuff is on the backside and you cant really see it from the front. I'm not 100% sure what the difference was in 93 and I'm sure it wont be enough that a 99 comp from a 360 truck wont run it.

i ran a 93 intake on my 97 along with the manifolds with no problems. the 93 does have a egr wile the 97 dont. the 99 has a better intake due to the fact that the middle of the intake is cut out wile the 93 has the center peice, the 99 intake will make more power on the 93. the 93 is the first year magnum 360 and that was by far the best magnum to be produced. the 93 has a higher cr along with a higher lift cam thus the 99 comp will not work on the 93 unless u change the cam on the 93 or get a mp ecm. hope that helps
