0 Trick or Treaters this year, apparently the 1/4 mile drive and random farm implements scattered about is too scary even for Halloween, I was at least hoping Spork and Poptart might come over dressed as a nun and a school girl respectively

I was the only house on our block that was actually passing out candy. Very disappointing. Only went through about 1/2 bowl of candy at that. My GF's kids went out trick or treating and were gone for about 45 minutes then they came back. I was like wtf you where only out 45 minutes. They said they were tired. Things have deffinently changed since I was a kid going out on Halloween

Yeah seriously I noticed that too. When I was a kid and used to go, my buddy and I would race to every single house in a few hours, get done around 9 and have an entire pillowcase full of candy. It probably weighed about 15-20lbs. Good times!

Now it seems like people stop passing out candy to Trick-OR-Treaters at 7:30.

didn't do anything this year, but it always happens every year. Someone has to mess with my pumpkin. Could watch all night and in the 5 seconds i look away it gets smashed. Well until i sat on the roof waiting, watching to jump the all of 8 feet down and land on whoever it was. But as always as soon as you prepare you have no one who will do anything.

I took my godson trick-or-treating. We had a blast. There were a few people who had pretty cool decorations in their garages and yards. And even more that dressed up to hand out candy.

He got tons of candy and I got a few beers from some creepy old men

In Royal Oak the white neighborhood kids go home at 7:30...that's when the ghetto kids get trucked in. The fat mamma sits in the car, driving their fat ghetto kids from house to house. The slobs walk up to the house about 1 MPH, mumble something like "tickuhtee", then don't say thanks. Some of the fat mammas walk up with their own bag and aks "can I git some fo mah baby? she sleepin in da cah."

Hey fat lazy fuckers-stay in your own neighborhood!!!!

HA HA HA.......We get the same thing on the other side of Woodward in Berkley. :tonka: My brother lives on the other side of Greenfield just inside Southfield and said the kids act just like that. So he came to my hood to hang out!

Yeah i swear in Bloomfield Hills they get carried in by the bus load from Pontiac. I wish Pontiac was a gated community...AKA keep em locked in their own city. :tonka:

there are a lot of car'd in kids but it's kinda a main street so they are forced to park and walk. I am a stickler for manners. I make sure my daughter says trick or treat, thank you and says happy halloween to you before moving on to the next house. halloween is no excuse for poor manners. I also make sure she doesn't cut across peoples grass disrespecting their lawns.

Oh no...you're one of "those" people. :tonka: I guess I never understood why people have been so anal about grass in general. Unless it happens so much a path is starting to wear I never saw the big deal. I wouldn't freak out if someone walked across my lawn.

x2......My daughter is just shy of 2 years old and I was enforcing the same thing. It was amazing after a few houses she was saying trick or treat and thank you everytime.

My friends dad used to get mad if your tire barely touched his grass on the edge of the driveway... he thought it was the weirdest thing when he would come to my house and I would enter the yard through the ditch, drive across the property and pull up on the lawn beside the house :tonka:

Usually did it just to make him say WTF

It's not that I feel the grass is so important. what I feel is important is having and teaching respect for others property. She can do whatever she wants on our lawn. her right to terrorize lawns ends when it is off our property. it is not necessary for her to be lazy and simply cut across grass to save a few seconds. people spend good money keeping their property and grass looking nice and I respect that.
