Talked to manager at my store today and he told me if we were to get to a point where others wouldnt mount it, we would (provided no visible damage, were not dumb...), and then ask you take it "home" and inflate it yourself at your own risk. Basically this applies to the 10 year rule, The guy in wholesale is trying to sell some OE pulled tires from a '88 ferrari that have been properly store to minimize decomp.

[QUOTE=Blue XJ;791842]belle tire will do anything to make a buck, most crooked place out there.

x2 I worked there about 8 years ago. I seen some really bad stuff go on there, like guys putting weights on a wheel without even putting it on the balancer." Ummm that looks about right......" I Would never have anything done there.

yeah if any of you guys have any questions you can reach me at the haggarty store in commerce.. my name is keith. if you all need a deal on something i can do that to..\

basically it is like this........ front the top of my company they have stated you bend or break the age/inflation/saftey rules you may not have a job,

anyone can half ass shit and do a temporary solution but it is not safe and more customers want it done right the first time and not have to come back for the same problems.... this is why we have rules like this..

it is for your saftey as well as our saftey

and for you old timers that did this ten years ago....... things have changed. their are new tire laws that have been set by RMA and we have to follow them in order to stay in buisness.. new saftey regulations they never had in the past because their are new problems and ideas you wouldnt understand. like the pax system and the tweel by michelin..
things have changed and even old guys in my company cant keep up. i have to school the old fellas on a daily basis. yeah i used bubble balancers too

the old way does not fly anymore
now their is our way and thats why we make the most money and are the most successful in the industry..

I'm surprised to hear all the horror stories about BT. I think I've bought 5 sets of tires from BT and 2 from DT. You're going to find f'd up stores no matter what chain you go to.

I'll say this though - this thread makes me not want to bring my 32-year-old car or any of my other older vehicles to DT.
