Default Front Bumper Opinions

I had a few other people give me a hand quite a while ago with a front bumper. It was the first thing I had ever really done with metal and right now since I don't have the money to get stuff bent for the new bumper, I am just trying to decide if I want to put this one on or not.

It has just been sitting in my garage/back of my truck for the past few months. It would not look nearly as bad if I cleaned it up and finished the ends, and mounts and stuff. But I really dont know.

Put it on, or scrap it?

If it were me, I'd get some sheetmetal and tack it in place along the top edge, contoured to match the grille. use the same sheetmetal for the center space, and expanded metal for the sides. (it's a bitch to weld, tho)
