Vehicle shipping cross country

Ive got a guy in Washington state interested in my car but the price for shipping scares him away. Between $1800 and $2100 (reliable carriers) dollars enclosed.

Any ideas on where to find a better price?

I'm not sure what it cost, but I just sold a car to a guy in Delaware. He used Fedex. They had a nice multi level enclosed carrier. I think you can get qoutes from their site.

Send a pm to Matt (Lbfin88). He drives a carhauler for a company out of Brighton. I can't remember the name of the company, but the trucks look nice and the trailers are enclosed.

Try a broker

maybe a broker for trucking companies could line you up with something. Someone could have an empty hauler heading there.

tell him that you'll pick him up at the airport when he flies in, to drive it home...

(I've done that in the past for two out of state buyers)

if you bend too much for someone they'll try to keep pushing for more and more.

if they want the deal, they can at least spend for air fare instead of that much for shipping... hell, if you are desperate, knock the air-fare off of the agreed upon sales price.

Send me the info by PM and I will get you the cost. I need the Zip code for the Cnee and the time you would need it they. In a week or less will cost. Also just so you know I have been moving freight around the world for 12 years now out of the Romulus area.

I'd recommend posting on yesterdaystractors.com. Go to 'Hauling Schedule' and post an ad with a little description including where you're looking to get it hauled.

Personally, I've posted a couple ads there when I was looking to get a jeep hauled. I received quite a few emails and calls within the first couple of days with people offering to haul it, for what seemed to be fairly reasonable prices.

If you wouldn't mind me loading a bunch of crap into it and adding 2400+ miles to the car, I'd drive it to washington for the cost of gas.
