credit unions don't care about the year of the car, they care about the quality of the person they are lending too. If you bought a built jeep that is 2k higher in cost than a stock one, the only thing they know is that it is a jeep. If you have the credit worthiness or enough money on deposit, they will just do the deal based on you, not on the vehicle.

They must have felt bad for you

As you know all rates are based on credit so you must be as solid as a golden nugget

I was toying with upgrading the tow rig to a dually. Just checked the rates. Wow. I think I will hold onto my 4.99% loan for a while longer. The fed annouced today that they feel inflation is in check and that they are open to further rate cuts going forward. Time shall tell.

Well thanks for confusing me. I'll work on this one and then we can work on the next one if you like it better.

I'll make sure I get you a custom racoon cage for the back.

I'll make a plug for SPS (Smith Peabody Styles) - they sell a number of big-name, as well as no-name policies. We've been doing Citizens through them since 2000 for our cars/house.

they also sell other forms of insurance if you need gap/life insurance/disability policies (but don't do any hard-sells on any of the above)

They literally ask what your needs are when you sign up, and don't bug you again (other than a flyer now and again in the mail) about any of their other offerings.

I think my parents go through smith peabody

It's pretty tough to find insurance for a boat that goes "fast"
