Contacts can be horrible for your eyes if not cared for properly... When they finally came out with contacts in my mom's prescription (they would have been way too thick before until newer technology came out), she made the mistake of leaving them in waaaaayyyy too long, her eyes got infected because they could not breathe, now she's in glasses pretty much full time, they're trying to wean her back into contacts, but thus far, no real luck, it's a pretty instant loss of vision when they're put in.

I just had to get my first pair of glasses myself, like my dad, the eyes started to go a little out of focus here in my early 20s... I could never do contacts, can't touch my eyeball, makes me ralph.

But yeah, food for thought, eyes are very sensitive to the proper maintanance of your lenses.

Food coloring isn't so bad, frosting and candy sprinkles really irritate them though.

It's pretty sad when I choose LSD over food coloring in my eye.

I guess that's what the Ferris scene did to me.

BTW barb, live off campus or on? I used to live downtown across from the historicals. 205 1/2 maple. It was a carpet store, then quality computer. BUT, that was in 1994.

it's one thing to do something stupid on purpose and completely another if it happens on accident. I don't you would you say the same thing if it caused you to go blind. not that I would wish that on anyone but since my accident my thinking has been quite a bit different. I was involved in a motorcycle accident back in Oct spent until 2nd week of Dec in the hospital. it definately wasn't anything I was trying to do. my wife and I were on a bike trip with other friends and in some 'S' turns and my bike lost traction. I tried to control the slide best I could and slid sideways into an 8ft diameter tree.

just my input, make sure your thinking with the right part of your brain when you think about trying something that may be dangerous.

Maybe i'm a prude...but sometimes it amazes me what people do to their bodies these days...or maybe its just that I value what my eyes do for me ever day to much to fukc with them.
