Be aware of fake Paypal emails...

Just an FYI, I just got an email that said somebody had added their email address to my Paypal account. The sender is service@paypal.com, but then when you click on a link to resolve the issue it sends you to this site -> http://atlantaurbanmix.com/music/rev....php?cmd=LogIn

Pretty old news about this kind of thing, but it was a little tricky and could screw some people over because when you sign in it gives them your Paypal sign in name and password.

Me-> <-Scammers

Anybody know if I should report this to Paypal or somebody?

I would recommend never following an email to a business's site
Rather take the name of the site and navigate to it thru google. Also look for https that part is very important too. I have yet to recieve an email that was so urgent i couldn't run it thru the companies spoof box first. Pretty much any viable company will verify in a few hours or worst case less than a day whether the email was real or fake.

I probably get at least one of these 'fishing' emails a month. They send you back a nice little note of thanks and blah blah blah about spam and fish.

I have my banks and paypals spoof emails in my addy.

the only way the system works against them is if they get reported and everyone cooperates.

I get one of those a days. Its easy to tell they are fake because they are only addressed to your email address. Paypal always includes your name. I delete alot of them, but I have forward some onto paypal.
