Default Wheeling for a Good Cause 8/19 Kalamazoo Area-updated

On Sun. Aug 19 our club is going to be having a ride to benefit our local Salvation Army. It's going to be held @ the Kids in the Mud ORV park @ 77308 56th St. Decatur, MI 49045. Planning on kicking things off around 10:00 AM & wrapping up around 3-4:00 PM but you are welcome to come early & stay late if you'd like. Click for directions.http://www.kidsinthemudd.com/directions.html

We are asking that you bring @ least $10 worth of non-perishable items for donation to get into the park. There will be no cover charge other the the items. We are hoping for a good turn out because the Salvation Army really needs this stuff. We do have some great door prizes we will be giving away & planning on a 50/50 drawing if all gos well. So come wheel for a good cause & have some fun.

The club will be grilling hot dogs, hamburgers & chips selling them for a small fee. (while supplies last)

The park has some trails through the woods, lots of mud, & a couple of large scramble areas with things such as hills, log hill climb, mud pit, & frame twister.

everyone who comes out is going to need to have a flag on there vehicle. Anything will work as long as it is higher than your roof.

If you have any questions please post up or PM me.

here are a few pics from earlier this year.

Great, bring some friends. We've got some decent prize we're going to be given away. With all the rain the last couple weeks this is going to be good & MUDDY.

nobody wants to come have fun for a good cause? This is a tax deductible wheeling event. I guarantee if you like to play in the Mud your going to love this place.

had planned on being there but due to unforseen complications (broken water line @ our salon) I didn't make it.

Mijeeper CJ 7: Looking at their website, they indicate that they are closed for business. Is this even just a special thing they are doing for the salvation army or something?

In any case, Ill probably be there with my WJ, and a few of my friends with CJ's sound interested as well.

they are not open for "business"

but they hold charity events, and have open rides during most weekends, they do accept donations towards the park and lawyer costs

Just like CheapThrillsB2 said above, they are not open for bus. however this is a charity event that they are letting us have at there place. Dave is asking that any donations for this weekend go to the Salvation Army. We will have the kettles on site for those of you who want to donate.

Well just got back from the park. Went out to get things set-up and mark the boundaries. Theres a lot of mud. This is going to be a great time. One thing I forgot to mention is that everyone who comes out is going to need to have a flag on there vehicle. Anything will work as long as it is higher than your roof.
