Default 302 stroker

me and a friend at work today were talking and hes thinking about building a stroker for his bronco... i know theres a 347 strokers but is it worth it in the long run.. can it be done to run on 87 or mid grade.... if any one has any articles on it please post them and i will pass it on

You are no where near smart enough to attempt something like this. And if you have a friend...then both of you together are still too stupid to do it. Just get a junk yard motor...and pay someone to put it in.

or just stick to

My next motor will be a 347, They give you quite a bit more torque than a 302. You can build one to run on pump gas just make sure you keep the compression fairly low, under 10:1. My only suggestion is if you plan on building a stroker use a older block, do not use a H.O. block they are not as strong. A friend of mine had a 347 in a drag car, it was about 550 hp and it split the block from front to rear, and when the block split it broke the crank in half. The only thing that held the block together when we pulled the motor was the intake, the oil pan, and the ratchet strap I put around it. Don't let this scare you away from building one, that motor was a little extreme.
