I mean the sunset part, not that I'm a gal.

Are you up there for vacation?? If so where are you staying, I've never been there and am going up the weekend after the 4th with my g/f, and am booked at Lake View Hotel. Is there a different hotel on the Island you would recommend? Thanks for anyones input.

I usually stay at the best western when I go up there, I am not sure if it is still there or not. But most of the places to stay at up there along the lake huron coast are good places to stay.

Mackinac or mackinac island?

The best western is nice, but it's $$ comapred to some other joints.

The wife and I stayed at some joint that was JUST east of the bridge, like maybe a block. The view was good and the joint was cheap.

Mackinaw Island, if you got the bank roll Mission Point is a great place to stay, its basically the last stop North/East on your way out of town, or counterclockwise around the island.

We just stayed at Mission Point this spring with our kids on their school trip. Great place with great service, a little pricey. My sister is in town and we are thinking of driving up there tomorrow.

Was just there this past weekend. I can say the complete opposite about the place.

Nice sunrise pic!

Here are a couple I took at Marblehead. Had to leave camp around 4:30 am to get out there in time.

We used to go to Canada and camp on a Island in the middle of a lake. one morning as the sun was comming up it was calm and the lake reflected the tree line. took a few pictures and it was so clear you could not tell which way was up in the photo. I would say that was the best sunrise I have ever seen.

I thought your best sunrise was when you rolled over and Grandman was out making money & you didn't have to look at his crabby face.
