I've not torn a belt loop but I have had the embarrassing moment after lifting it to hook a heel on the door frame and fall back on that loop creating one of the more spectacular bruises ever.

Funny you mention this....my wife was just bitching me out about all the belt loops missing on my pants and I told her how it happened.

She said I was full of shit.

2 days later she ripped the side of her shorts open getting out of the Jeep.
