You remember to shift into neutral first before jamming the t/c into 4-Lo?

Again, something is dicked with that transfer case where you're stuck in 4WD all the time, which you shouldn't be. GET IT LOOKED AT.

Sounds to me like it is in side wheel drive. I have seen it before. Is it the left or right side tires that are spinning?

Not all the time. Many times in swaps the pattern gets changed. We know there was a swap, the pattern may or may not be the same. Either way, he said he tried it in all positions.

Put the Jeep in 2wd. Try and spin the front drive shaft by hand.

Crawl underneath, disconnect shift linkage from tcase. Manually shift tcase into all ranges, see if that works. If so, linkage is not adjusted. Adjust accordingly.

oh, and put it in 2wd and spin front driveshaft.

You expect him to remove the shift linkage when he doesn't know that much about jeeps? Then hows he going to get it to DTS when its locked in neutral? :tonka:

He has a YJ, so he would have to jack the front tires off the ground, he doesn't have any lockout hubs!
