Default Not playing games!!! This is serious!!!

I need to know if anyone on here, knows someone or is someone that when you walk around a grill people here the theme song to Chariots of fire or We are the Champions! or just a flat out bad ass griller!!! I'm supposed to grill ribs and something else of my choice at a neighborhood grill contest/cook off with trophy's! Don't laugh these guys have the Home Depot 10,000 series grills(supposed to sound bad ass) they mean business.
When people in my sub started talking smack and a ton of smack, I didn't say anything but I knew I could turn to you guy!
So lay it out there, What should I grill besides ribs and how should I go about this. Don't just say Sweet Baby Ray's sauce on ribs because it sounds like these guys bring out the big guns. Bottom line they're not playing games! They look at you like this will all be in good fun, but I can tell they went home to come up with a game plan.

First off, try the sauce my wife posted in the recipe thread. Second, try doing something more labor intensive that pays off better like briskett or a prime rib roast.

Also, smoke the meat. Alot of guys don't bother because they have this pussy charcoal grill. Don't over smoke it, just give it a 10-15 minute smoke.

If you need a brisket rub recipe let me know.

I typically throw misquete(sp) chips in a bucket with water and liquid smoke then throw it on the grill while the ribs are on there? I don't have a smoker. I'll check out your wifes recipe though. Is briskett or prime rib roast like pulled pork? That is good stuff.

Beef Briskett isn't pulled typically sliced thin(1/4") ((against the grain I believe)).
I make them about twice a year.

Prime Rib is sliced like steaks after its done and rested.

MAKE SURE TO LET THE MEAT REST to reclaim the juices before slicing.

Pulled pork is easy, if you just wanted to do that. But i would stick to something a little higher line if you actually intend to win.

You could always go with kabobs or something like that. Doing more exotic meats and sea foods.

Skip the liquid smoke. Mesquitte chips or Hickory chips should be enough.
