Default landowner liability release?

I've got a guy who owns some property near me that is comfortable with a group of us wheeling on his land, but he is concerned about liability. What measures can be taken to cover his ass, and prevent lawsuits?

Call a lawyer and ask. The cost would be minimum compared to trusing other resources...
