What I dislike is when you get change back these days - nobody is teh smrt enough to count back to you. Most exchanges, you'll get your money back in your hand in a small pile as they read what your change is off of the computer screen. It may sound trivial, but counting back money was always an excellent way to make sure you were getting the proper amount of change back.

These days, I'm the asshole for standing there, counting my change and arranging the bills in order and facing the same way/orientation before putting them in my wallet. :bangheadagainstwall:

Yeah, it amazes me how people are incapable of doing any math in their head anymore.

I know enjoy giving them a weird amount of money so I get silver back..... i.e. it was $4.62, and I give them $10.12........ blows their mind.

I've been asked to take my change back before BECAUSE THE SCREEN COULDN'T TELL THEM THE CORRECT COINS TO GIVE BACK!
I then tell them what the need to give me.......

I beg to differ, it a brilliantly funny social commentary. The point is kids graduating high school can't do simple math, they are forced thru the system and made to feel good about themselves with out accomplishing anything and have an environmental agenda pushed on them rather than acedemics.

I truley believe that part of this falls back to the system.....in trying to prepare kids for he computer world they skip some basics....When I went to school you were not allowed to use a calculator and had to show process as well as correct answer so that they knew you could apply it again in another situation. Now days a calculator is manditory......sure...you teach them how to use a calculator correctly and do all kinds of complex problems.....then when they are out in the real world without their calculator...they get lost.

I wish I knew how to use an abacus........I have a little brass one that the batteries never go dead on :tonka:
