Default Lower shock mounts

i got one built, the old ones were the sway bar mount and the nuts wouldn't stay tight. all that i used was a cut off wheel and a grinder.

not bad welds for using a 100 amp arc welder

pretty nice setup, looks close to what I was thinking after breaking a mount clean off the axle on my TJ. I'm looking at mounting the shocks to something welded to the bottom of the lower coil spring cups.

I'm sure I will post whatever I come up with.

Why not mount them to the top of the tube? Seems like they would get hung up easier hanging down low like that

I kinda wondered that, too. My guess is there's a restriction on how high he can put the top mounts.
