Ive always wanted one of those ?? where you shop for them ?? government auctions ?
They require a CDL to drive, cause correct me if im wrong but dont they have air brakes?
How much they usually go for ?

Sweet!! I won't one. What kind of mpg do you get? :tonka: The pictures were probably shot on your land so that should save some driving time. Must be nice. I got a 2 hour drive to wheel.

auctions, e-bay, craigs list, truck trader. Mine has a 413 BB in it, but a stock truck runs $6-8k
they have air over hydraulic brakes, soem of the newer ones have air brakes.
No CDL in MI no matter what size or kind of brakes if for personal use. other states have different rules

MPG on deuce and a half is about 9 not sure on 5 ton diesels, probably a7-8.
5 ton gassers are probably more powerful than the diesel but are looking at 1-3 mpg

I don't drive this on the road. I left it at Vince's all last summer and just used it there. the 413 is a little small to push it around. I am going to add a t-case or change over to a Cummings out of a pickup. I think it is a 5.9. Please let me know if anyone ever runs across one in a truck or not. I would need the trans and t-case too.

yeah. I agree. I think our club has the best recovery. Safe. and I think I have a 0 damage record.

I have had guys say "can you wait a minute? I wanna try it again" right after I pull them out. I say "sure. give it hell"

I had my kids at Vince's so I did not spend as much time as usual doing recovery.
