Allendale?

I just hug up the phone with a guy who saw a flyer at an automotive place in Allendale. He's coming and knows a Boy Scout Troop who is looking for somthing like this. Might see them too.

BIG THANKS to whoever put up teh flyer!

G R E A T !

Stock 4x4 trucks seem to be the backbone of the clean up, AND they can get you to Silver Lake for Carla's Visit too!

GREAT!

Let me know ASAP if your Dad's going to be there!
The Muskegon Comical and GR Press did articles on it last year and don't usually like to do a repeat article the following year. . .

BUT!

If a Representative were going to be present, they might be coerced into it!

I'll get pics up as soon as I can.

A huge THANK YOU to all who participated!

Bullet Points:

'Around' 100 people signed in (I haven't done a final count yet).
Including State Representative Goeff Hanson!

The NFS is going to 'poster child' us as a Collaboration Success Story on their website and is also going to nominate us for a National Award!

Link to Award:

100 Yards of Trash
50,000 Lbs of Shingles -- a new TT record!
675 Tires -- a new TT record!
165 gallons of waste oil -- DEQ involved

First dumpster was filled in only 1 1/2 hours!
Second Dumpster filled 1/2 hour after lunch.
Third dumpster was actually full by 3:30pm, but we managed to CRAM (Quite literally) another military Deuce load AND another load from Will's dump truck into it, through the additional efforts of a dozen, or so, die hards and some heavy equipment!

HUGE thanks to John, John, Will, and Josh for the loaders and heavy trucks!!!!!!!
We could NOT have done such an AMAZING job without you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Busy loading shingles and searching for and retrieving trash. Long day. A few of the other members of The Two Trackers got quite a few photos of the action that I am sure will make it to this thread.

yes, I saw a lot of guys with camera watching us unload all of those shingles, too bad they didn't come up with the 2 skid loader idea sooner.

I didn't even think about taking a camera - but the turnout was impressive, my first trip out to help the Two Trackers. I wish I had pictures of some of what we found. I was amazed people would do that to the forest in their own backyards. Congratulations to the Two Trackers on a well-organized event!

I'm still busy finishing up all the government paperwork for it!

I FULLY intend to post ALL kinds of pictures with an article VERY soon!

I just need a day or two to finish up the 'work' end of it.

Promise!

It's a LOT cheaper and closer than the dump.
