Default Silver Lake 4/8 w/snow

This bowl was huge. The pics don't do it justice.

Here is a video of my buddy driving around it

Here is a video of a pre-runner Ranger trying to do the same. This is after two complete rolls.

The reason my day ended early. Stock Toyota drag link just rotted out and broke. I limped it in from the woods with the tie down strap pulling it back together.

This is what I spent the rest of my day riding around as pass. in. '07 Tacoma 4 cyl with a 5 speed. He beat all but two of the vehicles he raced. That truck made a few people a bit mad. It was actually quite impressive what it would do on the hills also. I know part of it was how hard some of the sand was though.

Link fixed. Sorry about that.

I heard about that Superduty getting extracted from that hole. Honestly, you couldn't tell that hole was anything more than a small puddle. I have pictures of a Toyota stuck in there from yesterday.

Yea i was suprised at the turnout... there were a lot more quads than i expected.. I guesstimate that about half the parking lot was full with trucks and trailers.. then another 20-30 trucks out on the dunes..

That would be me in the toyota. That was a expensive hole. Dont know want it cost the super duty get pulled out but i bet alot with the being two tow trucks. It broke the right birfeild in my front axle, popped the front passanger side tire off the rim, and almost ripped out the front axle. It also bent the receiver hitch on the bronco pulling me out. Mine reason i got stuck was because my truck would not down shift out of 3rd gear so i did not have the power to turn the tires or 4wheel drive and when i tryed to use 4wheel drive i broke the axle.
I have a bunch of pictures that ill put on after i get them on the computer.

The guy with the ranger had to drive home about 3 hours he said like that, broken windsheild and all. He said that they were just going to were goggles:tonka:

Broke it that saturday after noon. That was my cousin in the other truck. Went back to the hotel that night and pulled out the birfeild the next morning. We just pulled it out and took off the front driveshaft and drove around like that for sunday and monday and drove home like that. Also drove home on the spare because the other tire was full of sand and water/ice. Roughf ride home. Funny thing is that about 3 hours after getting mine back together my cousin broke his just on the other side. His just cracked, mine blew up (many peices).
Still trying to get my pictures uploaded but the computer is running very slow.

Heres the picture of me in the hole that broke every thing. If you look closely you can how twisted my axle is in the picture. On the passenger side the axle sat back about 2in farther then the driver side because of the way i was getting pulled out. Its over 3 feet to my rear bumper just to give you a idea of how deep it was, And the hole did not look deep at all till it ate your truck.

Ill get the rest on later still running to slow.

Yeah I thought for sure something was broke mounting wise for your front axle. It looked like it wasn't going to be under your vehicle for long.

Soy bomb and trogg, the XJ and the ranger were together. They were from Michigan City, IN. I am not sure who they were, but I got one of their email addresses to send the video to.

It didnt break any of the mounts, it was just twisting. One shackle was pointing way forward and one way back. Surprised one of the springs did not break though with all the presure that was on it.

Got my drag link replaced with a heavy duty one. Mounted it over the top instead of below. I don't think this one will rust out.
