01 f-150 question

I have a 01 f-150 with the towing package. should I upgrade the tranny cooler or just leave her alone? most towing I will be doing it 5,000lb boat or flat towed jeep.

extra tranny cooler wouldn't hurt, better safe than sorry. but if it has the tow package, theres a chance it already has a extra tranny cooler

Better safe than sorry is right, but remember that there is a point with tranny's where too much cooler is bad - especially if you plan to not pull anything during the winter months.....

If it were me, I'd spend the 100 bucks on a good tranny temp gauge if it's already got an external cooler....

Also, you probably know this, but when you're towing it's best to stay out of over drive unless your on the highway and already up to speed.....
