Default where'd the skinny pedal go?

as you may have gathered from previous threads, I am trying to give my truck a few more ponies (intake, exhaust, chip). Before the Ford diesel guys rip me apart, are the power programmers for a gas motor (4.6) worth the $300+ or should I just keep the skinny pedal buried all the time?

I had a flowmaster exh and a hypertech for my 99 4.6 4x and it was decent, not sure if it was worth the $350 though, see if you can find a used one on ebay, I see them on there quite often.

I wish I would have thought to check ebay, but I ended up buying a new superchips powerprogrammer, combined with a k&n intake, and it seems to help out great!

Don't forget, most chips then require the use of premium fuel. So factor that into the cost.

IMHO, chips for gas motors are over rated. I noticed more low end grunt by putting in higher ratio rockers then adding a chip. 2 different rigs, same year, same motor.

But if yer skeered of taking something apart on the engine...well...
