I think that is a good idea, but I also agree with Mongo below. It sucks when you want to buy something, but hopefully the people that are not selling anything because there is a lack of pics, they will change their ways.

perhaps require people to have pics in the thread, I see too many "I will e-mail" why e-mail when there are 2 different ways you can post them?

though this goes with "what if someone doesn't have a digital camera?" Ah hell, its lose lose..

If they don't have a digital camera then don't try to sell shit on the interweb.

I don't care how much they cry and bitch. I'm gonna cry and bitch more. F-ers say they are gonna email, but no, they can't seem to figure that part out either.

They can't seem to figure out how to re-size the pics and then they find out that their email service won't let them attach 7 files that are 5.2 megs each.

Maybe i'm just pissy today.

Mandating pics is asking a lot of people. I offer to help people post them in order to cut down on pages of requests for them to be emailed, but the thread authors don't always contact me for help.

I guess we need to add a "picture write-up" to the Rules thread. Maybe it will help.

What I don't understand is the people who want to email them.. This requres sending them multiple times.

When you could simply hit "attach" and be done with it

I think there should be pics for some things and others do not require them. I have some wheels in the freebies forum and they are just what they say they are. There are a couple guys that want pics and i want them out of my garage . Yes i am being really lazy about it but if the item matches the description and it is something simple like a set of steelies with little rust or a starter that works or anything for a specific application in good condition thgen there is no need for pics. Then again a little rust in ones opinion could mean i could show up and poke a hole in the shit with my pinky but...

I guess wht i mean is if the item has a good desription And the person selling it is not a fukbag then taking 15 mins for some pics is a waste of time. imo

The size limits on attachments are what cause people to not even try. The dimensions that its set at are not "conventional" and don't fall in line with the size at which a lot of people take pictures at. I don't know if vBulletin has any resizing function avaiable in it, but that would make things a lot easier for the non-computer literate.

Nothing is weird about that size other than it not being what people typically have their cameras set at, whether or not its the "standard" online. The attachment limit for jpg's is 900x900, which falls inbetween two standard resolution settings - 800x600 and 1024x768. I attach all my pics at 800x600, but I have to resize tham all every time. Most people leave their cameras at 1024x768 or higher since digital camera mexapixels and memory capacities have increased tically in the past couple years.

if they are to stupid to know how to changed them to the online standard, then they should be punished by having to email them.

I nominate Muddy Paws to do a a step by step how to host and attach pics to be stickied in the f/s section.

Some people just don't know how to do it.

My excuse for my Comanche add is I've been to busy/lazy to go snap some pics. Hmmm maybe I'll get some pics tomorrow.
