Sweet, the FBI will get to the bottom of it. I saw Jesus once. I was at Disney Land and this little Mexican kid was running around and he had a name tag on that read Jesus.

I dont think this really proves or disproves anything. I think that sometimes the catholic church makes too big of a deal out of unimportant details. Even if Jesus was married and had a child would it make him less of a savior?

Too bad they couldn't find Mo' in a tomb embracing a man and a bucket of bacon.

You are fooled by this?? There was absolutely NO evidence that the burial site was not for a local goverment authority, or king, or other religious leader. Why would they assume it was for Jesus? There is no intellectual link AT ALL. Pure fantasy.

At least the life and death and resurrection of Jesus fall under intellectual scrutiny. Just because someone makes a claim, that does not make it true. Any claim must pass by logic before it is even considered as truth bearing.

The name Jesus was similar to Joshua. But everyone who had a first name also had a descriptor. Such as Jesus of Nazareth. Or Simon from Cyrene. Or Matthew the carpenter. There were not thousands of men named Jesus who attracted crazy crowds everywhere they went and turned the entire world upside down. Dont' be mistaken, everyone knew who Jesus Christ was. There is no chance for mistaken identity.

That's how I feel about most religions, hence, my claim of agnostic.

And like I said, at least the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ stand strong in the light of logic and intellectual scrutiny.

And if you believe that story about a tomb with Jesus in it, you are far far away from a logical stance.

Agnostic is a much more logical stance than atheist, but as far as I can see, only the account of Christ has any validity.

Please tell me you don't actually believe that tomb belonged to Jesus.

Here is another link the same story that isn't so slanted to one side of the tomb debate.

Because he doesn't agree with you it means he isn't logical. :miff: Your response to him was a lot less intelligent than his response to you.

Just because you believe or don't believe something doesn't mean you are right. I hate to burst your bubble, but your beliefs have no influence on anyone but yourself.

This pretty much sums it up:

Quote:
In 1996, when the British Broadcasting Corp. aired a short documentary on the same subject, archaeologists challenged the claims. Amos Kloner, the first archaeologist to examine the site, said the idea fails to hold up by archaeological standards but makes for profitable television.

"They just want to get money for it," Kloner said.

Cameron said his critics should withhold comment until they see his film.

"I'm not a theologist. I'm not an archaeologist. I'm a documentary film maker," he said.
Just another film maker trying to make money by making a controversial documentary. Nothing new here.
