Default Macomb Comm College Auto Program

Just curious to know if anyone here has been through (or attending) the Macomb Comm College Auto program? I would like to get your input on it. I'm seriously thinking about becoming an instructor there.

Do you feel that you learned something? Or did it program just give a a degree in something you already knew?

Would you recommend this program to others?

Thanks,

AWK

Me too. But that was 19 years ago. I don't remember much, other than the excessive drinking at lunch/after class.

I think I learned alot, but I'm not sure.

I would recommend the program because it was a quick and easy associates degree. The classes made it easy to pass ASE tests and the internship part gave me the best hands on experience you could ask for. Plus the dealer I worked for liked me so I had a garenteed job soon as I got out.

The classes were easy for me, including the acedemic type stuff. I had a really good auto shop teacher in hi school so most of the material was rehash.

They teach the basics of the major systems in the car but they do not make you a specialist in any area. I guess only time can do that...

The one thing I think they lacked was really getting into electronic module communication. They may have modified the classes a bit since the 90s tho.

I would also recommend to anyone getting into one of these programs to transferring immediately to one of the ferris programs to get a bachelors degree no matter what else they decide to do. A dealership is a tought place to be these days.
