With 28 spline shafts I would be wary runnin 35's welded. With 31 spline it wouldnt be a problem. Currently Im runnin a 7.5 with a lock right but am upgrading to an 8.8 as Im going to 35's. The 8.8 is going to get welded. The 28 spline shafts wouldnt like the 35x20 tractor tires im going to run.

And Arnie, that does not look good enough to me. First time I welded my TTB 35 I had more weld and good penitraion and it broke. You should melt the gears together and weld the gears to the carrier.

I welded my 89 crown vic, only to smash the hell out of it 2 weeks later in a derby, the 8.8 held up well prior to everyones chatter about it falling apart
