Default Miller 180 <> idiot proof

So...

I bought a miller 180 because i've wanted a wire feed w/gas since i was 13 years old...

well... my dreams come true.. i buy the package..

so im at home like a kid w/ a christmas present...
setting up everything.. checking the phase on the 220 plug

attach the gas, gauge is hot, attach the gun.. getting ready to feed the spool into the gun... so i flip the power switch

and @^#$%#%#.... it does nothing.... absolutely nothing.. the fan should spool up and the trigger should run the wire feed... but nothing

check the idiot breaker on the back and its cool.

pull the plug out slightly and DMM it, 220 across the mains - 115 from each between the ground...

I THINK i got a DOA welder OR there is some idiot switch that i've overlooked..... i've went though the manual to many times... the shop isn't open till monday.... as an engineer im ready to rip the cover off and check stuff out but im afraid of voiding warrenty...

What do you think, DOA welder, IDIOT switch/your stupid put the wire in it before it powers up or BAD POWER???

the breaker didn't pop and nothing smoked so im thinking thats OK

its hot but.... dead.....as if the internal breaker is tripped but it isn't...

really put a sad face on my weekend.

Any suggestions??

jeep on!

Is it the original whip to the welder? did someone put an after market plug on the end and mix up the wires? I would call tomorrow if all is factory and no worky.

Is it the kind that auto-detects the voltage or do you have to jumper some terminals?
