Open carrier, had 3.73s in it, the 5.38s are thick gears made to work with that carrier.

We've got the front axle finished under the truck with leaf springs and u-bolts, the track bar bracket and control arm brackets are gone, the rear should be finished up tonight and bolted in under the springs.

Well, finally here are some progress pictures.

A shot from the front.




A shot of the rear spring hanger (still has to be finished and plated into the unibody for strength).





A shot of the front corner - ready to make crossmember (and yes, most of the weight of the front is on the jackstand)




A shot of the rear.




Next step is to make the front crossmember, finish the rear hanger points for the front springs, then driveshafts, steering, brakes, bumper, etc. And a whole lot of fender cutting in there somewhere.
