Default The "do some of everything" Taco

We won't be there all day Sunday but we will probably go in for a little bit
And you probably wouldn't even need a voucher
But I could get you one if you did

Didn't end up going to silver lake so I figured I would get some work done.

Still need to make brackets and I plan to trim the rear corners similar to how the steel bedside were.

After a long weekend at Silver Lake I figured out why I keep having driveshaft problems. Turns out my leaf springs are shot. Broke another slip yolk and then bent my spare driveshaft. The damage toll for the weekend keeps climbing.
Also my wife blew up the front diff. I opened it up today and this is what I found:

I also cut my bedsides so I can paint them. Cant handle them being white much longer.

Ya I don't understand how I break so much stuff. I drive the truck like a old lady on a Sunday drive.

Ok maybe I am alittle hard on stuff.

New rear setup did well in the dunes. I was getting around everywhere which was impressive considering It is still only 2wd. Only minor carnage last weekend. Fluid for the clutch and tranny need to be changed and something in my ebrake on the pass side broke on the trailer on the way home. Actions pics to come, but first I have to prep for this weekend.

Jury duty for 2 days on top of a third shift job sucks!
Just killed my 2 work days this week

I'm sure I will be ready.
I agree I never seem to have enough time these days. I am fortunate enough to be able to dump my truck on Halo (Brent) to make deadlines. For the first time in awhile the list is small enough I should have time on my own.

Made it through another weekend at the dunes. No additional breakage just still nursing a tranny and clutch issue.

Thanks man, ya it does pretty well in the dunes but after some adjustments in the rear and it should make it noticeably better.

Winter Plans:

Front long travel kit. MCM FAB (ordered)
Front coil overs and airbumps: ADS
Front bypasses: maybe
weld in TC cam tab gussets

Start an engine cage, at min going from coilbucket to coilbucket. Maybe new alum Radiator that doesn't hang down so low integrated in to cage

Paint Bedsides
Longer limit straps for the rear.
Storage containers mounted in the bed

New front dif probably loaded with a trutrac. Need to get rid of Spider gears.

Pull my transmission and figure out why I can't shift it.

If I get all this done then it will be time to finish the front section of the Cab cage and tie it into the engine cage.

Thats what I know of the top of my head right now. Ill add more as I remember or people or people chime in with good ideas.

Last time at Silver Lake for the year. Transmission shifting problem finally worked itself out kind of. 3rd gear broke loose which allowed me to shift but made a wonderful sound all day. Sounded like a bike with cards in the spokes. Also meant I only had 2nd and 4th but still had a fun day.

Anyhow here is alittle video:
