Default What's this tj worth?

I'm looking for some input on a jeep I just looked at for a friend. We can't talk to the guy or drive it till tomorrow. Here is what I seen so far.
98 tj with zero rust. Flares and bumpers. Rear swing out. Looks like it's been restored.
Interior has all the normal mods with full auto meter gauges.
Soft top, soft and hard doors.
Carbed chevy small block with th350 or 400 trans.
5-7" fully adjustable long arm lift with reservoir shocks
9" high pinion rear and 9" front with HD driveshafts
2 sets of 35s with good tread on alum rims
I won't know more specs until tomorrow on gears and lockers but I'm guessing it's got both judging by the amount of money it has into it. Looks like the restore has about 15000 miles but it's CHERRY.
So assuming it runs and drives good what do you think ball park price would be?

Really guys! 50 people looked at this thread and not one person had any idea of a ball park figure.

I will say the paint looks pretty fresh. The guy that owns it works at a body shop and it shows. I was thinking with the perfect paint and body and the suspension and axles it was around 15. After doing some poking around I have realized the market on TJs has come down quite a bit in the last few years.

2K to 15K The carbed small block will be it's downfall. Unless you're going for mud. And what's in it has no bearing on what it's worth.

The market on tjs hasn't come down really that much. I'd say they're still at their peak right now. Without pics, it sounds like a 10k jeep. Was it a southern jeep? Were any patches installed before it was "restored"?

It must of been from the south or west b/c when I looked under it at some of the little pockets it still had factory paint and the bolts didn't have any rust on them either. I wish it had TPI instead of that damn carb. It would be a no brained.

I imagine they are Curries. Still, I think north of $10K

Between $10k - $15k, depending on how well the work was done, and quality of parts.

Its still a 16 yr old Jeep, with a carb'd motor. The carb'd motor is a red flag, its a mismatch to a high-end TJ. You do it because you don't want to spend the money and time to do a better FI motor. So its a cut corner, then what other corners are cut.

Tru Hi-9s would be far more valuable than old currie axles. Check on parts availability in the front. Is it 44 outers? There's not much purpose for a 9" front unless its 60 outers.

I think they are the older currie 9". Im guessing it has Dana 44 outers b/c I remember looking at the axle joints and thinking huh seems like they would be bigger. From what Ive seen so far the craftsmanship looks to be really good. I do know thats since it was built it has only been to the dunes a couple times and road driving. Im going to look at again today and talk with the guy. Im hoping he has the paper work for the build as that would clear up alot of things.
