Put your original resignation from the first post in icing on top of a cake. It still says F.U., but with cake!

I totally agree, but have almost always been asked to submit it in writing too, so having the letter is the formal thing, after you've told them face to face, with your reasons. Explaining the great opportunity and room to grow...

Yes I agree about submitting it in writing, but no thought needs to be put into a resignation letter at all. You should have a copy in your hand when you tell your boss, like a man, that you are resigning.

dear boss,

I am resigning my position at xyz, thank you for the opportunity to work here. My last day will be xyz.

Thanks.

When the last person at my work quit, she wrote a letter about who and why she hated some individuals at my company. She then handed out the letter to everyone but the individuals she called out in the letter. That was an interesting day.

I think he should stay. I have a TON of information stating why you should not stay once you've already decided toleave and your current employer counters, for exactly that reason I think immortal should stay

I wrote the letter as requested in my employee handbook.
They called me to the office and my exit interview went better than I expected.

My current rough draft. I know, I know, too short.
Guess you could copy and paste, paste, paste...etc if you need to lengthen the letter/fill the page, pages....? My last employer would fit this one.

I quit a detail shop once upon a time on a Friday 15 minutes to close by telling him I wouldn't be in on Monday, or any of the following days.
