I wonder how hard it would be to mount this in a vehicle.

I really like the tip out design and thought it would've worked great mounted to the side of the console in a Tahoe. Guess not

If any part of the firearm is between your body and any article of clothing, or part of the clothing, it is considered concealed. ie, OWB holster with part of a shirt covering part of the gun, its concealed.

That is how it was explained to me by one of the area's well known criminal defense attorney that specializes in firearm law.

Thinking about polishing the Alaskan. I like shiny.

Starting with this:

End result would be this (Yes I know mine is a .44 and this is a .454 but I couldn't find any pics of a high polished .44):

Thoughts?

I think you may be right. While it may look absolutely beautiful, it would definitely show scratches and wear a lot more.

I can not use this in my Kimber, will trade for splatter targets.
One box (25 rounds) for 4 packs of splatters.
Similar to these (price/size/qty):http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00C88...ref=mp_s_a_1_8

I was told not to use this.
Something about porting and no rating for +p or +p+

I was going to say I have shot plenty of +p for quals, because that is what we had. Then I thought I better check. Kimber says

Quote:
+P ammo manufactured to SAAMI specs is fine to use as a defensive round or for occasional range use only. Our pistols are rated to handle +P ammo. However, we do not recommend a steady diet of them, as they are rough on the pistol and will accelerate the wear on the gun and may shorten the life of the recoil spring.

Sounds like defensive loads for a couple spare mags.

If you're shooting +P and miss, how many walls does it pass through before it stops?
The hornaday critical defense rounds don't make it through one.

You're looking at like 5-10% more velocity than a standard pressure round, its not a huge difference.

Thank you, FF.
The houses here are very close together, and this is something I need to be concerned with.
